2. COMPOSTING IS NATURE'S WAY OF RECYCLING!
   Composting provides a positive economic and environmental benefit by reducing yard waste in our streets and food waste in the landfill turning organic materials into rich soil amendments. Compost adds nutrients to our yards and gardens and helps control weeds and retain soil moisture.

4. ELIGIBILITY / TERMS & CONDITIONS
   <ul> <li>Rebate is for residents, businesses, or schools within city limits that purchase a backyard compost bin and/or a vermicompost bin between <b>July 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020</b>.</li> <li>Applications must be received within 90 days of purchase and during the same fiscal year. All rebates are funded first-come, first-serve. Fund availability is not guaranteed. Visit <a href="https://www.cityofwoodland.org/rebates">www.cityofwoodland.org/rebates</a> or call (530) 661-2059 for fund availability.</li> <li>Compost/vermicompost bin rebate is for purchase price or $100, whichever is less. Limit $200 per applicant. Applicant may purchase two of the same type of bin. <b>Bins must be installed before rebate will be given.</b></li> <li>Applicant agrees to use the bin(s) to help reduce food waste and eliminate green waste in the streets.</li> <li>Bins are subject to random inspection by City of Woodland.</li> <li>Applicant allows City of Woodland to reference this project and use photographs in outreach materials.</li>
