Honey Festival

Honey Festival This Saturday!

Historic Downtown Woodland will be abuzz as it holds its third Honey Festival on Saturday May 4th from 10AM-5PM. Come join local vendors, artists, educators, and food producers to celebrate honey and honeybees.

Look for the Environmental Services Booth during the event to learn more about the resources that the City has to offer and receive free conservation information and giveaways (limited quantities).

Cue the bike bells, May is Bike Month!

It’s time to dust off your bikes, pump up your tires, and join your neighbors in bicycling for work, school, errands, and recreation this May.

Propane thumbs up

Propane Cylinder Exchange Event

Yolo County residents are invited to bring one empty single-use 1 lb. propane cylinder to receive a FREE reusable! Limit one reusable per household, while supplies last.

When: Saturday, May 18, 2019, 8 am – 1 pm
Where: Yolo County Landfill, 44090 County Rd 28H
Single-use propane cylinders can cause explosions and fires to trucks and sanitation workers if not properly handled. For more information about proper disposal or about this event, visit RefuelYourFun.org.

Rebates Available

Make your yard and garden more sustainable!
The City of Woodland is offering residents and businesses rebates for the purchase of mulch, weather-based irrigation controllers, and rain barrels. Compost and vermicompost rebates will end on 6/30/19.

Free Water-Wise Landscape Tour!

Come learn how various neighbors have filled their yards with beautiful California natives, and other water-wise choices, including drought-tolerant specialists like enchanting succulents and even desert cacti.”

When: Saturday, June 1, 8:30am-12pm
Where: Crawford Park, 1733 College St.

Meet us at Crawford Park from 8:30am-11pm to pick up a tour guidebook, pick up some water-wise plants sold by Woodland High School, and more. Explore beautiful, low-water landscapes on a self-guided tour in the surrounding neighborhood until 12pm.
