The State has released several new industry guidelines in preparation for the reopening of these industries as early as 12 June. Please find relevant information below along with other resources that may be relevant to your business.

Anticipated Reopening of 12 Additional Business Sectors and Activities this Friday, June 12


The State of California announced in a press release the following 12 business sectors and activities able to resume, either statewide or in variance-approved counties, as early as June 12th: 

  • Campgrounds
  • Cardrooms/racetracks 
  • Day Camps
  • Family Entertainment 
  • Gyms /Fitness facilities
  • Hotels/lodging
  • Restaurants/bars/wineries
  • Child Care 
  • Music/film/TV Production &
  • Professional sports - see text in drop down menu
  • Schools 
  • Zoos/Museums
Each of these biz activities includes a hyperlink to the State reopening guidelines to help businesses prepare for the State and Yolo County's anticipated green light on 12 June. To stay updated on which activities have been approved by Yolo County's Health Officer to reopen and the corresponding documentation to follow, visit the County’s Roadmap page.

Business Toolkit to Help you Navigate Reopening

 
Yolo County's Business Toolkit remains available to all businesses to assist in compliance with the various requirements. You can find the Business Toolkit resources here 


What is Included in the Toolkit?

  • Plan template 
  • Public Health contact information if you or your staff come in contact with a COVID-19 positive individual
  • Informational flyers to display for staff and patrons of your establishment, and more.

Apply for Your Outdoor Dining/Outdoor Use Permit


Following the Woodland City Council's approval of an Urgency Ordinance authorizing Temporary Use Permits available HERE IN ENGLISH / AQUÍ EN ESPAÑOL, allowing restaurants and other businesses to use available public and private outdoor space for outdoor dining or retail display.

Yolo COVID-19 Relief Fund 


The Yolo Community Foundation has announced $290,000 in grants, made through the Yolo COVID-19 Relief Fund. The Relief Fund, a partnership between Yolo County, the Cities of Woodland, Winters, West Sacramento, and Davis, and the Yolo Community Foundation, has raised nearly $400,000 to date; additional grants will be made soon. The Relief Fund makes grants in two categories:

1) Front-Line Response grants ($10,000-$30,000), to support organizations that are addressing problems that were created or exacerbated by COVID-19 and its fall-out

2) Nonprofit Sustainability grants (up to $10,000), which support organizations that have been negatively impacted by the crisis. The Relief Fund will continue to accept and review applications until all funds are used.

Road closure at County Road 22 and E. Main Street 


Beginning on June 15, County Road 22/East Main Street will be closed at the east end of the Walgreens’ warehouse, at the location of the North Drainage Canal and Pump Station. The road will be closed for approximately 4 weeks. During this time, the contractor will be installing the new 48” diameter storm drainage force main across the road, removing the existing storm drainage pipe, demolishing the existing defunct pump station, filling a portion of the South Canal, replace the existing guardrail and reconstruct the roadway. At times there will be a crane in the roadway to assist with the boring & jacking of the 48” diameter pipe beneath the railroad on the north side of County Road 22.  For more information, please visit: https://www.cityofwoodland.org/948/North-Regional-Pond-Pump-Station-Project

Ready for a Fun Weekend?...Velocity Island Wakeboard Park Now Open!     

Let your employees and families know that Velocity Island Park is once again open to the public for wakeboarding and paddleboarding! 

VIP's Pirate's Cove Aqua Park (
Northern California's largest floating obstacle course) is anticipated to reopen in the coming weeks.
