Retail, Office, Restaurants, Hair Salons, and Places of Worship Permitted to Reopen in Yolo County This Week
We are pleased to share that non-essential business offices, in-store retail and in-restaurant dining can reopen in Yolo County effective today. Hair salons can reopen effective Thursday, May 28 and places of worship and religious services on Friday, May 29. All businesses/organizations must follow industry specific state guidance and adhere to the Yolo County Face Covering Order. We are reaching out to the businesses in our community to provide you with the details and guidelines you need for re-opening. We have linked the state guidance documents for your convenience below. The activities allowed for reopening are:
Effective Wednesday May 27: Business offices Dine-in restaurants Retail Stores, Shopping Centers, including Swap Meets
Effective Thursday May 28: Hair Salons and Barbershops
Effective Friday May 29: Religious Services and Places of Worship
Although you may note in the state guidance documents that face coverings are encouraged, it is important to know that in Yolo County, it is MANDATORY to wear a face covering as there is a separate, local Health Order on the use of face coverings. If you have questions about face coverings you can find more information here. In order to reopen the above referenced activities, you must: 1) follow State and/or County guidelines, 2) adhere to the County’s face covering order; and 3) comply with strict social distancing protocols.
