Yolo County Enters Phase 2 in "Roadmap to Recovery"
The State announced that as of 8 May, we are now in early Stage 2 (out of a four-phase reopening plan), where retail (curbside and delivery only), related logistics and manufacturing and essential businesses can open with modifications. The state is issuing guidance to help these workplaces reopen safely.
Stage 2 expansion will be phased gradually. Some communities may move through Stage 2 faster based on specific public health metrics outlined by the Governor. Restaurants in Yolo County are not yet permitted to re-open for dine-in service. However, local restaurants and eating establishments are encouraged to begin preparing for future re-opening by reviewing the guidance issued by the State for Dine-In Restaurants located here: https://covid19.ca.gov/roadmap-counties/.
As indicated in the 7 May Yolo County Press Release, it was confirmed that Yolo County aligns with this State announcement. Stay informed on the new policies and guidelines for businesses permitted to reopen in line with State and Local Shelter In Place orders, by visiting the “Yolo County Roadmap to Recovery” here: https://bit.ly/2WFKRYf.

Main Street goes "pollinator friendly"As part of our commitment as a “Bee City USA” to raise awareness and enhance habitats of bees and pollinators within Woodland, in late 2019 the City began designing a pollinator-friendly Main Street beautification project. Our team has been working closely with the UC Davis Arboretum since late last year, who developed a planting plan for over 100 colorful flowering pollinator resistant plants, which as of this week will now brighten up the “Welcome to Woodland” signs at the entrance of Main Street, the median across from the Weisman building, and 10 street corners between 1st and 3rd Street. Although we were not able to hold the CA Honey Festival this year, this project paves the way to welcome & nourish our local pollinators and keep our new plants healthy and happy.

The project also includes installing and modifying water and storm utility mainlines, laterals and appurtenances in support of the project. The road base construction on the north side of Main Street was completed last week. The base lifts of asphalt are being placed on the north side this week.
