City Hires New Social Services Manager
The City of Woodland is pleased to announce that Ms. Kristen Cline has joined our staff in the capacity of Social Services Manager, effective September 4, 2018. In her new role, Kristen will be a key contributor to the City’s ongoing efforts to address homelessness, including working to implement best practices, improving coordination with our partner public agencies and community service providers, and providing case management for individuals and families seeking assistance. Ms. Cline will also be assisting in a similar capacity with the City’s ongoing Youth Gang Reduction and Intervention Program (YGRIP).
Ms. Cline comes to the City after working for the past 17 years with Yolo County's Health & Human Services Agency. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and her most recent assignment at Yolo County was working as Supervising Clinician of Homeless Services. Kristen received her Bachelors of Science in Environmental Design from University California, Davis and her Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from National University.
Ms. Cline has extensive experience working with all of the social services resources throughout Yolo County and assisting individuals and families navigating through the many levels of services and care. In addition, Kristen has extensive experience with crisis intervention in the field which is where she likes to spend most of her time.

City Launches Homeless Information Website
In addition, the City of Woodland has published on its website a new section, specific to “Addressing Homelessness in Woodland.” This site is intended to provide the community with ready-access to general information on homelessness, how the City is addressing homelessness and related issues through its Homeless Action Plan, how residents can become more involved, and a Frequently Asked Questions page that will be updated on a regular basis.

The City Council is scheduled to receive and update from staff on the status of the City’s Homeless Action Plan at its meeting of September 18, 2018.
