Today, the City of Woodland took the next step towards development of the Woodland Research and Technology Park by releasing key documents for review. Both the Planning Commission and City Council are expected to review this dynamic mixed-use project in the coming weeks.
Community members can find the Draft Specific Plan, as well as the project Finance Plan, Nexus Study, Frequently Asked Questions, and more on the Woodland Research and Technology Park website or at bit.ly/wrtp. The City will share additional draft documents no later than Friday, August 11.
Project partners envision the Woodland Research and Technology Park as a new hub to serve an array of research and technology companies interested in locating and growing near UC Davis and other institutions in the Greater Sacramento region. Consisting of approximately 350 acres, the Woodland Research and Technology Park is proposed as a new type of employment center that also includes a range of housing options, a commercial mixed-use town center, a multi-modal street network and pedestrian and bicycle trail system, and more.
City staff anticipates that the Planning Commission will consider the project plan and all associated documents on Thursday, August 17 and that the City Council will hold its first hearing on Tuesday, September 5.
