The following is a summary of key Spring Lake projects and their status. An interactive map of these projects can be found here.
Spring Lake Parks
Spring Lake Park
Placement of base rock for the pathways began the week of June 5 and concrete work began the week of June 12. Concurrently, the contractor will install irrigation and landscaping, pathway lights, and the restroom building. We anticipate the successful completion of the 90-day plant maintenance period by early October.
Rick Gonzales Sr. Park
The contractor is finishing up irrigation and has started planting trees, shrubs, and other landscape. They are also working to finish both the tennis and basketball courts. We anticipate that the 90-day plant maintenance period will be complete by early October.
Jack Slaven Park
Landscaping and the dog exercise area are both almost complete. The contractor began the 90-day plant establishment period the week of June 12, during which the park will remain closed and fenced to allow the plants to fully establish. The remaining work on the basketball court, path lighting, and electrical system will continue during the establishment period to ensure the park can be open to the public upon completion of the 90-day period in mid-September.

Bike & Pedestrian Overcrossing
The contractor has remaining landscape, erosion control, and concrete remediation work to finish. Some of this work requires the bridge to remain closed to keep our residents safe. The City anticipates that the overcrossing will be open to the public in July.
