On Saturday, April 29, the Woodland Public Library will host its annual Read, Rumble, and Rev from 11 AM to 1 PM in the parking lot at 250 First Street. Many past favorites will return and families can get up close and even go on or in some of the vehicles.
The library’s book bikes will be at Read, Rumble, and Rev with Teen Advisory Board members giving out free books to children in attendance as well as information about upcoming library events and programs. We will also happily accept donations to Friends of the Library, the sponsor of much of our amazing programming, including our Summer Reading Program. Las Brasas and Kona Ice will be on site selling food for families with hungry kids.
From 11 AM to 12 PM, we will attempt a quiet hour with no horns for those who would like a more peaceful atmosphere. After 12 PM, there may be a little more noise, but we will do our best to keep the atmosphere from getting too loud.
The Public Library is grateful for the support of the City’s many participating departments: Public Works, Fire, Police, and Community Services. We also appreciate our community partners like Woodland Joint Unified School District, Waste Management, Yolobus, the Yolo County Sherriff’s Office, McNary’s Chapel, Wilkinson International, and Grow West. We hope you will enjoy talking to the volunteers that donated their time to exhibit vehicles and describe what they do in our community. If you have an interesting vehicle you would like to exhibit, please feel free to contact the library at library@cityofwoodland.org.
This event is free to the public. The library’s main parking lot, along with North and First Streets next to the library, will be closed for the event. Parking will be available on the west side of College Street and in the lots near the Rose Garden.
