Join the City of Woodland Community Services Department for the summer recreation program exposition “ReXpo” and Senior Art Show on Friday, March 24, from 4:00–7:00 pm at the Woodland Community & Senior Center. Learn about the summer programs offered by the City and recreation partners. Those registering for classes will receive a 10% discount and a chance to win one of many prizes.
Sponsors for this year’s event include Woodland Senior Center Inc., Kiwanis Club of Woodland, Simas Family Vineyards, Blue Note Brewery, and the Woodland Recreation Foundation.
Discover the recreational activities in Woodland including activities such as Summertime Fun Club, swim lessons, Summer Teen Pack, tennis lessons, boxing, fitness classes, special events, seasonal job openings, and volunteer opportunities will all be on display. A 10% discount will be provided when signing up for a Community Services program or activity during the event (online registration will not be accepted during the event). In addition, learn about scholarships available for many summer programs such as swim lessons (sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Woodland), Summertime Fun Club, and Summer Teen Pack.
Recreation program demonstrations will occur during the event such as dancing, karate, yoga, tennis, soccer, and more. Check out the Community & Senior Center including the meeting rooms, banquet hall, gymnasium, Sports Park, YMCA, and boxing facility.
The Senior Art Show includes artwork by local artisans including Seniors who participate in classes held at the Senior Center. Artwork includes paintings, drawings, ceramics, needlework, quilting, and wood carvings. Some artwork may be for sale. As part of the artisan ambiance, there will be beer and wine tasting supplied by Simas Family Vineyards and Blue Note Brewery. Additional donations for the event have also been provided by Senior Center Inc.
