[ARCHIVED] Polar Bear Plunge on January 1st

Celebrate the ringing in of 2023 with an icy swim. On New Year's Day, Woodland Community Services Department is hosting the annual Polar Bear Plunge. Come to the Charles Brooks Community Swim Center and the event kicks off promptly at 11:00 am. Take the Plunge into the cold, unheated pool and see how long you can last! Can you swim a lap or two? Warm drinks and soup will be served for all those daring enough who jump into the pool. There will even be a chance to win prizes.

To pre-register for the Polar Bear Plunge, go to https://secure.rec1.com/CA/woodland-ca/catalog?filter=c2VhcmNoPTIyODI1NDE= for $5 per person. Registration will be taken onsite. Please be sure to arrive early! All proceeds of the Polar Bear Plunge benefit the Woodland Kiwanis youth scholarship program. Kiwanis International is an organization that serves children around the world and supports scholarships for swim lessons here in Woodland.
