Streetlight Outages for Some Woodlanders

The City of Woodland is currently experiencing a streetlight outage in the area south of Granada Drive to Gibson Road and east of College Street to Homewood Drive. See the map below.

These lights are owned, operated, and maintained by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). City staff does not have the ability to make changes to the system.

The problems with this circuit occurred during the brown out on September 7. The Public Works Department became aware of the issue the next day, September 8. After investigating the problem, City staff determined that the problematic streetlights were a PG&E issue and immediately submitted a ticket to PG&E.

A PG&E repair technician responded on September 13 and contacted the City Electrical Supervisor. After some troubleshooting, the technician referred the issue to PG&E’s construction team later that day.

Staff is currently waiting for an update from PG&E with a schedule for the repairs. Woodland Public Works staff is available to answer residents’ questions at (530) 661-5962.
