Woodland's Independence Day Celebration Returns!

The City of Woodland’s Fourth of July celebration is back! 

Pancake Breakfast: The Woodland Professional Firefighters Association will host its annual Pancake Breakfast at Fire Station #3 at 1550 Springlake Court from 8 – 11 AM. Cost is $5 per person; children five and under are free. Visit www.WPFA4029.org for more information.

Bike Parade & Family Fun Fest: Head downtown for the traditional Fourth of July Bike Parade! Decorating begins at 9 AM at Heritage Plaza. Bikes may also come already decorated. Best decorated bike or scooter contestants can register from 9 – 9:45 AM and prizes for the best decorated bike or scooter will be awarded after the parade. The Main Street Bike Parade begins at 10 AM from Heritage Plaza and will ride to the Woodland Public Library for a Family Fun Fest with live music by New Harmony Jazz, bounce houses, games, and free snow cones provided by Thompson’s Heating and Air.

Ice Cream Social: Woodland Senior Center Inc. will host the Fourth of July Ice Cream Social from 1 – 3 PM at the Woodland Community & Senior Center at 2001 East Street. Come cool off, enjoy refreshments, and enjoy dancers and music. Cost is $2. Raffle tickets will also be sold.

Swim Fest: Charles Brooks Community Swim Center at 155 N. West St. will open for a free swim fest from 1 – 5 PM. Show off your best high dive or try the floating inflatable obstacle course in the pool. Bring towels and sunscreen!

Fireworks Celebration: Pre-fireworks festivities begin at 6 PM at the Woodland High School stadium at 21 N. West St. Activities will include a bounce house, an obstacle course, Rec2Go games, and music. Food from Las Brasas will be available for purchase. Following a traditional Color and Rifle Guard ceremony conducted by the American Legion and a singing of the National Anthem, a spectacular fireworks show will kick off around 9:15 PM. Please bring chairs or blankets to sit on the grass. No personal fireworks, alcohol, glass, or pets allowed.
