To commemorate and celebrate the life and work of labor and civil rights leader César Chávez, the City of Woodland will host a celebration in Heritage Plaza at 5:00 pm on Thursday, March 31. Join fellow residents for this annual event to honor César Chávez and his accomplishments.
The program starts at 5:30 pm and will include singing and youth essay readings.
Families are encouraged to attend the event so children of all ages can learn about Chávez’s dedication to improve labor conditions and protect civil rights for those working in agriculture. Crafts and games will be provided, as well as scholarship information for recreation programs, including swimming lessons and summer camps.
