Yolo County Invites Public to COVID-19 Community Summit on March 2
(Woodland, CA) – Yolo County residents are invited to attend a COVID-19 Community Summit, entitled Moving Forward in 2021, hosted by the Yolo County Board of Supervisors on March 2 at 9:00 a.m. This Zoom event will provide an opportunity for community members, service providers and businesses impacted by COVID-19 to share their experiences and highlight future issues.
This event will feature opening remarks from Yolo County’s Public Health Officer Dr. Aimee Sisson and four panels consisting of leadership and staff from healthcare organizations, local businesses, government and schools, and community organizations representing geographies throughout Yolo County.
“COVID-19 has presented many challenges and hardships for families, businesses, and community organizations across Yolo County,” said Chair of the Yolo County Board of Supervisors Jim Provenza. “This summit represents an opportunity to bring many voices into a community dialogue that will allow for people to process their experience with the global pandemic while also seeing a path forward with education, outreach, and vaccine distribution.”
The Community Summit will take place on Zoom in a format similar to the regularly scheduled Board of Supervisors meetings.
