The West Woodland Safe Routes to School (Court St) Improvement Project will start construction in July and is anticipated to be complete by the end of this year, pending weather delays. When complete, the project will improve Court Street from West Street to Ashley Avenue. The project scope includes reconstruction of the pavement, completing traffic signal modifications and striping new bicycle lanes with narrowed travel lanes on Court Street.
During project construction, there will be traffic impacts to Court St. and adjacent side streets including reduced access, long-term lane closures and some short-term full road closures.
Access to adjacent homes/businesses will be available for the duration of the project. During the project, signs will be placed requesting that drivers use alternate routes and reminding residents that businesses remain open through construction.
