While the Woodland Public Library and Community & Senior Center are not open for public use, there are still many programs and resources available.
Library Programs
Curbside Pick-up and the Book Drop is Open
Curbside pickup is available for current holds at the Woodland Public Library
- Holds may be placed through the library catalog https://librarycatalog.cityofwoodland.org/.
- Once your hold is ready for pickup, you will receive an email or phone call informing you that your items are ready for pickup.
- Staff will follow social distancing recommendations.
Curbside Delivery Hours
Mon-Thu 1pm-6pm and Sat 9am-1pm

Materials may be dropped off in the book drop any time 24/7. However, the Library is not accepting Link+ items at this time (please wait until the Library opens to the public).

The Woodland Public Library virtual Summer with the Library Program is in full swing.

KIDS’ VIRTUAL BINGO NIGHT
Join the Library monthly in June and July for a children’s virtual bingo night! Bingo cards can be picked up with the curbside delivery, or downloaded from the website. Check out the website for a detailed announcement.
FAMILY PAINT NIGHT
Join the Library monthly in June and July for virtual family paint night! Supplies can be picked up during curbside delivery hours.
SPECIAL EVENT TUESDAYS
Performers and workshops are at 1 pm on Zoom, prior registration is required.
June 2 The Puppet Art Theater Co. will be performing Three Billy Goats Gruff
June 9 Anime Your Way with Carlos Nieto will be teaching us how to draw anime
June 16 Bubble Lady will put on a fun bubble performance
June 23 Magical Nathaniel will be performing his magic show
June 30 Explorit will be teaching us about different animal habitats with some special guests
July 7 Eben Burgoon will teach us how to draw comics during this hour long workshop
July 14 Don O’Brien’s wows with his Xtreme Science Magic Show
July 21 Magical Nathaniel comes back to teach us simple magic tricks using household items
July 28 Coventry and Kaluza will be performing an amazing circus act
MAKE AND EXPLORE THURSDAYS
Kids can join the Library virtually for a weekly STEM video on the Library’s Facebook or Instagram Page. Craft kits for the weekly project can be picked up during curbside delivery hours. Videos posted Thursdays by 1:00pm.
SUPER ANIMAL SATURDAY 7/11
Join the Library on Saturday, July 11th for an educational session to learn all about bats with Norcal Bats.
Senior Programs and Resources
Virtual Meetings and Classes: The Woodland Senior Center is operating certain programs during the shelter-in-place orders. Three support groups are meeting virtually, including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Transitions (for people going through major life changes), and Prostate Cancer. Next, one of the City’s contract recreation instructors is hosting daily virtual exercise sessions (Functional Fitness, Seated Mobility, and Rock Steady Boxing). Additionally, the Woodland Senior Center Inc. board meets virtually every month. To request more information, call the Senior Center Welcome Desk line at (530) 661-2001; there will be updated messages to point people to these program offerings.
Yolo County Great Plates Program: This emergency meal program provides 3 delivered meals per day to qualifying seniors who cannot prepare or procure their own food during the shelter in place. This program has been extended until July 10, 2020. The program is open to seniors who are not on Meals on Wheels or CalFresh. There are other program requirements including income and living alone. To apply quickly and easily over the phone call 211. A 211 operator will assist you in submit an application over the phone.”

Next City Council Meeting
The next City Council meeting will be on July 7. The meeting will be held via teleconference and Council members and the public will participate via teleconference. Those locations are not listed on the agenda and are not accessible to the public.
The public is encouraged to listen to the City Council meeting live on Woodland TV Channel 20 and also by viewing the Upcoming Meetings on the City webpage (when the meeting is Live, you will see a Live icon to the left of the meeting).
If you wish to make a comment during general public comment or on a specific agenda item, there are three (3) ways to do that: 1) Join the Zoom City Council meeting by clicking on the link below for instructions; 2) Leave a voice mail message at (530) 661-5900. All voice mail messages received by 6:00 p.m. will be played during the City Council meeting and read into the record at the appropriate time; and 3) If you are watching the live stream and wish to make a comment on an item as it is being heard you may submit an email to the City Clerk at CouncilMeetings@cityofwoodland.org prior to Public Comment on that item. Email comments submitted to be read into the record shall be no more than three (3) minutes when read aloud. Please include the agenda item in the subject line.

Coronavirus in Woodland and Yolo County
The City of Woodland continues to closely monitor the impacts of COVID-19 and provide information to assist residents and businesses to respond to the emergency as it evolves.
