May 29, 2020 - Yolo County Issues New Health Order
On May 28, Yolo County issued a new health order terminating the local shelter in place requirement. However, Yolo County residents will still need to comply with the State of California Stay at Home order and are prohibited from reopening businesses that have not been approved by the State and local Health Officer. The County health order still:
- Maintains the face covering health order;
- Emphasizes the importance of personal responsibility;
- Continues personal health and safety guidance such as social distancing and hygiene; and
- Provides additional directive and guidance.
Re-opening City of Woodland Facilities
Consistent with state and local guidelines, the City will begin reopening City facilities to the public starting next week. The reopening of various facilities will be phased and conducted in a manner to protect Woodland’s residents, visitors and staff.

Woodland City Hall
City Hall will begin a phased re-opening starting on Monday June 1st with the Finance Office public counter open from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (closed from 12:00-1:15 p.m.) Monday through Friday. Finance will only be open for taking cash payments for utility bills. Credit card payments can be made online or by calling (530) 661-5831(option 1). Checks can be mailed to City of Woodland, Utility Billing, 300 First Street, Woodland, CA 95695 or placed in the drop box behind City Hall in Dead Cat Alley. For questions about your account, please call (530)661-5831.
Applications for the Utility Assistance Program are available online. Applicants aged 65 or older can send in their applications beginning June 1.
City Administration, Human Resources, and Community Development will re-open to the public on Monday, June 8th.
Community Development Department Hours (starting Monday, June 8th)
Monday- Friday 8:00-a.m. – 4:00 p.m., closed from 12:00-1:15 p.m.
You may drop off permit applications including plans and specifications as needed, file business registrations, and ask staff to respond to routine questions, during these hours.
For more complicated issues, customers are encouraged to schedule an appointment. Appointments can be scheduled by calling (530) 661-5820 where you will be routed to the appropriate staff member for scheduling.
We encourage our customers to utilize our online services where applicable and when in City Hall, to maintain a safe environment for our customers and employees.

The following facility-wide measures for Woodland City Hall will be put into effect on Monday, June 1st and continue until further notice:
- Access to City Hall will be controlled and a limited amount of people will be allowed in at any given time. Entry will be through the doors on the First Street side of City Hall.
- Physical distancing standards and mask precautions will be adhered to by visitors and staff within City Hall.
- Each customer service area has been fitted with acrylic panels to serve as temporary barriers protecting both members of the public and staff.
Woodland Public Library
Woodland Public Library will begin taking returns through its outdoor book drop beginning Monday June 1st, and will begin conducting curbside pickup on Monday, June 8th. The building will remain closed to the public until further notice.

Monday, June 1 – Outdoor book drop reopens for returns.
Friday, June 5 – Patrons can request items through the online catalog at librarycatalog.cityofwoodland.org
Monday, June 8 – Curbside service begins, allowing patrons to pick up items requested online or by phone.
Curbside Service Hours (Beginning June 8): Monday-Thursday: 1:00 p.m. -6:00 p.m., Saturday: 9:00 a.m-1:00 p.m.
City of Woodland Municipal Service Center
The City of Woodland Municipal Service Center will return to regular business hours on Monday, June 1st.
Physical distancing standards and mask precautions for staff and visitors will be adhered to within the Municipal Service Center.
Municipal Service Center Hours
Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Woodland Community and Senior Center
The Woodland Community & Senior Center remains closed to the public until further notice.
Social distancing will still be the order of the day even at parks, tennis courts, and the dog park.
Woodland Police Department
The Police Department front lobby will return to regular business hours on Monday, June 1st.
Access to the lobby will be controlled and a limited amount of people will be allowed in at any given time.
Physical distancing standards and mask precautions will be adhered to by staff and visitors within the Police Department building.

Friday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Next City Council Meeting
The next regularly scheduled council meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 2 at 6:00 pm and will continue to be done virtually. The public is encouraged to listen to the City Council meeting live on Woodland TV Channel 20 or by visiting www.cityofwoodland.org. If you wish to make a comment during general public comment or on a specific agenda item, there are two ways to do so. You may leave a voice mail message at (530) 661-5900. All voice mail messages received by 6:00 p.m. will be played during the City Council meeting and read into the record at the appropriate time. Any member of the public watching the live stream who wishes to make a comment on an item as it is being heard may submit an email to the City Clerk at CouncilMeetings@cityofwoodland.org prior to Public Comment on that item. Email comments submitted to be read into the record shall be no more than three (3) minutes when read aloud. Please include the agenda item in the subject line.
