Plan a fun filled 4th of July in Woodland this year by attending one of the many events scheduled throughout the day.

Pancake Breakfast: The Woodland Professional Firefighters Association annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast will be held at Fire Station #3 (1550 Springlake Court) from 8 until 11 am. Cost is $5 per person, children five and under are free. Visit for more information.

Bike Parade and Family Fun Fest: The City of Woodland is proud to host the annual Fourth of July Bike Parade & Celebration for kids and adults.  Decorating begins at 9 am at Heritage Plaza (or you may come with your bikes already decorated). Registration for the best decorated bike or scooter is from 9:00-9:45 am. Prizes for the best decorated bike or scooter will be awarded after the parade down Main Street. The route will begin at 10:00 am from Heritage Plaza and will ride to the Library where there will be live music performed by New Harmony Jazz , bounce houses, games, and free snow cones provided by Thompson’s Heating and Air.

Ice-Cream Social: Woodland Senior Center Inc. will be hosting the annual ice-cream social from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Woodland Community & Senior Center. Come cool off, enjoy refreshments, and be entertained by dancers and music. Cost is $2.00. Raffles tickets will also be sold.

Swim Fest: A free swim fest will be held from 1:00-3:45 pm at the Charles Brooks Community Swim Center. Come try out the exciting inflatable obstacle course. Bring your towels and sunscreen. SnoShack will be on hand selling shaved ice during the Swim Fest.

Fireworks Celebration: The pre-fireworks festivities will begin at 6 pm at Woodland High School. Please bring chairs or blankets to sit in the grass as no bleacher seating will be available. A bounce house, obstacle course, Rec2Go (mobile recreation van), games, music. Food from Las Brasas and Smothie Patrol will be available for purchase. Following a traditional Color and Riffle Guard ceremony conducted by the American Legion, and a singing of the National Anthem, a spectacular fireworks show is scheduled to begin around 9:15 pm. No personal fireworks, alcohol, glass, or pets!

The July 4th Celebration is made possible through donations from businesses and individuals including: Knaggs Commercial Properties, Associated Engineering Consultants, Food-4-Less, Nugget, Best Best & Krieger LLP, Clark Pacific, RDM Audio Visual Rentals, Waste Management, Gayle Manufacturing Company, Teichert, Andy Gagnon Landscape, Inc., Lawson Property Management and Real Estate, Yolo Federal Credit Union, Tom & Meg Stallard, Sheffield Real Estate, Valley Tire Center, Woodland Chamber of Commerce, and Woodland Recreation Foundation.
