The City of Woodland was awarded a grant for $356,850 from the Cal Fire Urban and Community Forestry Program and California Climate Investments (investments made from the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund- the result of cap and trade revenue).
In partnership with the Woodland Tree Foundation, through the grant 1200 trees will be planted in a three-year period. Visit www.woodlandtreefoundation.org if you would like a tree planted at your home or if you would like to volunteer at a tree planting event.
Additionally, the grant will fund the preparation of an Urban Forest Master Plan. (see below links for documents and information related to the Urban Forest Master Plan).
