Improvement Plans

An improvement refers to any street work and utilities to be installed, or agreed to be installed, by the sub-divider on the land to be used for public or private streets, highways, ways, easements. They are necessary for the general use of the lot owners in the subdivision and local neighborhood traffic and drainage needs, as condition precedent to the approval and acceptance of the final map. The final maps for improvement plans get submitted to the City of Woodland Engineering Division at City Hall after approval of the tentative maps. 2 sets of plans are submitted for plan checking and inspection. Included in the submittal process is a plan check fee that is outlined in the our Comprehensive Fee Schedule (PDF) (reference Section B: Engineering Plan Checking and Inspection).

Final Maps

After the final maps are approved by the City and have received City Council approval, they go to the Yolo County Recorders Office where they are recorded.
