Event Details for 2022
Get ready because National Night Out is back! On August 2nd Woodland residents are encouraged to celebrate National Night Out by hosting neighborhood block parties. This is a crime prevention event that is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and co-sponsored locally by Woodland Police Department.
Woodland Police and Fire officials along with other local law enforcement agencies will visit block parties if you register your party by Tuesday July, 26th.
National Night Out is the perfect opportunity to meet your neighbors and build a stronger community. So lock your doors, turn on porch lights, and spend the evening outside with neighbors.
The City of Woodland is a nationally registered participant in this year's event.
National Night Out is designed to:
Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts
Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police and community partnerships
Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back
