On June 6, 2006, Measure E was approved by the voters. This initiative became effective October 1, 2006 and expires on September 30, 2018. The City’s local sales tax (a.k.a. Measure H) expired on June 30, 2006. Unfortunately, due to legally imposed time requirements following an election, the City was not able to coordinate the effective date of Measure E to coincide with the expiration of Measure H. The earliest date which Measure E could be activated by the State Board of Equalization (BOE) was October 1, 2006.
Questions regarding sales tax expiration and/or activation should be directed to the State Board of Equalization at 800-400-7115.
The new transaction and use tax must be charged on all tangible personal property that is delivered or placed into use within the Woodland city limits. Click here for the retailer information page.
