Citywide Parklet Program
This Program authorizes a business-to-consumer restaurant / café (“food”) establishments to expand onto a maximum of two (2) City owned parking spaces in a row despite the businesses that it serves, in the absence of, or limited private outdoor seating. The applicant is subject to an annual review by the City, in addition to a fee of $500 per parking space, for a maximum of two spaces. Permit validity runs until November 1, 2024, unless terminated by City or Applicant Business beforehand, or unless extended by City Council.

To support the backbone of our local economy, the City of Woodland will award funding to qualifying Woodland for-profit small business-to-consumer restaurant / café (“food”) establishments with a maximum of 20 full-time employees that wish to build parklets in the public right-of-way through the Citywide Parklet Program. Small businesses may apply for a maximum of $20,000 per parklet structure, regardless of how many businesses it serves, to assist in Parklet (re)construction and enhancements for a maximum of two City-owned parking spaces. A total of roughly $125,000 is available for allocation. The City hopes to support all qualifying applicants, but funds may be subject to award by criteria depending on the amount of applications. Deadline is July 31st, but applications will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.
