General Election Information
The Clerk’s Office is responsible for the conduct of municipal elections. We provide nomination packets and general guidelines to those candidates interested in running for office. We accept all nomination packet filings and submit to the Yolo County Elections Office. You can view the Yolo Elections web page by clicking here.
The next General Municipal Election for the City will be held on November 3, 2020. City Council Districts 2, 4 and 5 are up for election. See the Woodland Council District Map for Council District locations.
Nomination Period
The candidate nomination period opens on Monday, July 13, 2020 and closes on Friday, August 7, 2020. If an incumbent does not file nomination papers by 5:00 PM on Friday, August 7, 2020, the nomination period will be extended until Wednesday, August 12, 2020.
Candidates must obtain and complete the official nomination documents issued by the Office of the City Clerk during the official nomination period.

City Council Resolutions
