Summer at City Hall is a partnership between the City of Woodland and Woodland Joint Unified School District. The program exposes high school students with practical experience in local government. This positive approach helps provide students with positive decision-making skills, community service opportunities, and demonstrates how democracy is reflected in our local government.
The three-week program provides classroom lessons in civics, opportunities to shadow local city staff, and participate in a mock city council meeting. Upon completion of Summer at City Hall students are provided with elective school credits and a small stipend. This program is sponsored by Measure J.
