August 2nd is National Night Out!

July 15, 2016

We need your support to take a stand against crime. Join many neighborhoods in Woodland and across the country as we celebrate the 33rd Annual National Night Out. The festivities are held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016. Individual neighborhoods host block parties any time between 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the majority of celebrations take on the driveway of someone’s home or at their front lawn. The point is that you want to be visible to anyone who is passing by. Please let us know you are participating by completing the free registration form, which is available on line at:  You may also call Crime Prevention Specialist Mini Garcia at 530-661-7875 or email at

National Night Out is about the Community taking a stand against crime. The event strengthens neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back against crime. Public safety officials are looking forward to driving their shiny police cars and beautiful fire engines to visit block parties, icecream socials, cookouts, or simple "get together" in your neighborhood.

Through generous donations from Target and on a first come-first serve basis, we are able to provide neighborhoods with a 25.00 gift card which can help off-set costs for the party. THANK YOU TARGET!!!
