Cesar Chavez Day Celebration

To commemorate and celebrate the life and work of labor and civil rights leader Cesar E. Chavez, the City of Woodland will be hosting a celebration in Heritage Plaza on Thursday, March 31st from 5:30- 6:30 pm.  March 31st is the birthdate of Chavez who was the founder of the National Farm Workers Association in 1962 which later became the United Farm Workers of America. 

"Cesar Chavez dedicated his life of service by providing a voice to the voiceless. An American hero not only for farm workers, but to the rest of our nation. We are asking the community to come together and commemorate his life and legacy." stated Council Member, Angel Barajas. Join the City and fellow residents for an evening of music and entertainment.
