ReXpo & Senior Art Show

Join the City of Woodland Community Services Department for a summer recreation program exposition “ReXpo” and Senior Art Show from 4 – 7 p.m. on March 4 at the Woodland Community & Senior Center. You’ll have a chance to learn about all of the summer programs offered by the City and recreation partners, City summer program scholarships, and be treated to free sample cuisine from program sponsors BlackPine Catering, Maria’s Cantina, Morgan’s on Main, and Savory Cafe. Those registering for classes will receive a 10% early registration discount. You may even win a camping tent, bowling set, swim lessons, park rental or other a Fit Bit Charge donated by the Woodland Recreation Foundation.

Come learn about programs for newborns to seniors such as Baby & Me, SummerTime Fun Club, Outdoor Adventure trips to Yosemite, tennis, swimming lessons, expanded classes for youth, teen camps, teen programs, and family events. Find out information about “camperships” (scholarships offered) for the many summer programs. The Woodland Police Department will have information about their programs and services, as well as the Woodland Public Library who will be bringing a special character friend “Froggy”. Recreation program demonstrations will occur throughout the event and there will be hands-on craft projects. It’s also a great opportunity to book a summer park reservation.

During “ReXpo”, the annual Senior Art Show will also be held. Senior artisans from classes held at the Senior Center will display their work. Artwork includes paintings, drawings, ceramics, needlework, quilting, and wood-carvings. Artwork will also be for sale. Art Show sponsors include Senior Center Inc., Simas Family Vineyards, and Blue Note Brewery.
