International Games Day@Your Library Brings Community Together to Read, Learn and Play

Woodland Public Library joins thousands in celebrating the popularity and power of games and play

November 16, 2015

At the Woodland Public Library there will be board games of all kinds to play, from standard kid and family favorites, to European style games. Tables will be set up for play in the Leake Room throughout the day, from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, and some games will be available in the library as well. Some great game companies have donated new games to the library just for this event. The library will also be participating in the Global Gossip Game-- an international game of telephone. Staff and volunteers will teach and lead games, but patrons are also encouraged to bring their own games to teach and share. Games at all levels are welcome, from games to children to those for adults.

International Games Day @ your library is an international initiative supported by the American Library Association, the Australian Library and Information Association, and Nordic Game Day.
