The City of Woodland, along with several community partners, is launching its 2015 “November Commit2Fit (C2Fit)” 30-Day Fitness Challenge beginning November 1. C2Fit is a citywide fitness initiative aimed to increase physical activity and promote a healthy lifestyle. Anyone who lives, plays, or works in Woodland is welcome to participate.
Participants can take advantage of FREE GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES offered by C2Fit community partners. Community partners include Cross Courts Athletic Club, In-Shape Fitness, Kaia F.I.T., Kuk Sool Won, The Max Challenge, NorCal Indoor Sports, Oasis Club and Spa, Woodland Swim Team and the YMCA Fitness Center. Other key partners include Dignity Health, Yolo County, and Woodland Joint Unified School District.
In addition to offering FREE GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES, In-Shape Fitness and the YMCA Fitness Center are allowing any registered C2Fit participant a 30-day unlimited pass to use their facilities and participate in all of their classes.
Commit2Fit is an opportunity to have fun, be active, and win prizes. It’s simple and fun. The rules are simple:
1. Register for Commit2Fit - Click to register - or attend the C2Fit Kick-off event on October 27th from 5:30pm-7:30pm at the Woodland Community and Senior Center and receive an official C2Fit Calendar and Fitness Log.
2. Record your activity. Receive 1 raffle ticket for at least 30 minutes of independent workout or receive 1 raffle ticket for completing 10 enrichment activities like those listed on the border of the fitness log. Receive 2 tickets for every FREE calendared C2Fit group activity that you participate in.
3. Submit your log for raffle tickets at the C2Fit Raffle Event on December 2nd @ 6pm. A maximum of 30 tickets can be distributed per person. The raffle will include prizes such as a Fitbits, gym memberships, and outdoor gear.
