The California Department of Water Resources on August 12 initiated two statewide rebate programs that can help Woodland homeowners replace water-guzzling lawns and inefficient toilets. The state-administered programs provide up to $2 per square foot for lawn replacement for as much as $2,000 per household and a $100 consumer rebate to replace one toilet per household with a high-efficiency toilet. The rebates are offered for single-family homes. Go to www.SaveOurWaterRebates.com for details and to apply.
Demand for these rebates is expected to exceed funding, so early application is recommended.
