Register Now for the 31-Day Fitness Challenge “Commit2Fit”
Looking for some motivation to get moving and be healthy, need a push to try something out of your comfort zone, or do you just like fitness challenges where you can win some great prizes? Join fellow Woodlanders during the month of May for the second “Commit2Fit” – (C2Fit) challenge. Anyone who lives, plays, or works in Woodland is welcome to participate.
C2Fit is a citywide fitness initiative aimed to increase physical activity and promote a healthy lifestyle. The City of Woodland along with community partners have joined together to motivate our community and create an awareness of how living a healthy lifestyle is easy and can be fun. Sponsors and partners for this program include Yolo County, Woodland Joint Unified School District, Woodland Healthcare, YMCA, Cross Court Athletic Club, In-Shape, Velocity Island Water Park, Nor Cal Indoor Skate, Cross Fit Iron Mile, Kaia Fit, The Oasis Club & Spa, Knockoutz Fitness Center, Woodland Outdoor Wanderers, and Heidrick Ag History Center.
C2Fit includes a 31-Day challenge that begins on May 1, 2015, but you can sign up at any time during the month. Anyone can participate. You simply record the amount of time you spend engaging in physical activity alone or by attending free exercise classes.
Click to register online for the 31-Day Challenge at or fill out a registration form at the Woodland Community & Senior Center, Woodland Public Library, Velocity Island Park, and the Oasis Club & Spa.
Attend the Commit2Fit Kick-off Event on April 28th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Woodland Community and Senior Center (2001 East Street) and you will have an opportunity to meet the partners of the program, get your questions answered, and receive an additional entry into the raffle.
During the program you can win prizes daily through a Facebook/Instagram contest and you can win prizes at the end of the challenge (by earning raffle tickets by exercising), such as a Fit Bit or memberships to fitness clubs. Raffle tickets are given at a raffle on June 3 from 6-7 pm at the Woodland Community & Senior Center.
