East Kentucky Road Rehabilitation Project Has Started

The City of Woodland has contracted with Teichert Construction in the amount of $1,066,564 for the construction of the East Kentucky Road Rehabilitation project. Teichert and the City will make every effort to minimize inconveniences to the Public caused by the construction.

Work on the project began on August 27, 2014. The project includes the removal and reconstruction of the pavement structure on E. Kentucky east of East Street to Paddock lane, including removal and replacement of valley gutter, construction of storm inlets, manholes and pipe.

            Roadway excavation is expected to begin on September 2nd. The road will be closed to thru traffic from East Street to Paddock Lane. Access will be maintained to all of the businesses located within the work zone. Detours have been posted. At times the road will be completely closed for a few days, there will be alternate routes posted to access all of the business.

            Efforts will be made throughout the 45-day contract to keep the public informed of the construction schedule; this includes public information bulletins published and distributed by the Contractor (may be door hanger or letter type), on going press releases and updates on the City Web Page at
