Adult Softball

Woodland Adult softball is under way for the Summer 2011 season.  There are a total of 98 softball teams playing in the City’s league, with over 1,400 players playing.  Of those 98 teams, 45 are men’s teams and 53 co-ed teams.  Registration revenue is exceeding $40,000 for the summer season.

The City’s Parks & Recreation league plays four nights a week and is open to anyone wanting to field a team; many teams are sponsored from local businesses or churches.  Registration is by team only.  Friday night is the busiest night of the week with 38 teams playing on the four softball diamonds at the Woodland Sports Park.  Thursdays are nearly as busy with 29 teams playing on three diamonds at the Sports Park.  All teams play ten games for the summer season, and the season wraps up just before Labor Day
