Friends of the Woodland Public Library Mystery Night present "The Cache Creek Criminal Caper"
On Saturday, March 5, 2011 the Friends of the Woodland Library will present their 12th Annual Murder Mystery fund raising activity in the Woodland Public Library (250 First Street). Guests are invited to scour the library for clues in an effort to solve the mystery and win a prize. Additional clues abound in the five act play featuring local celebrities.
Doors open at 6:00 pm and the play, "The Cache Creek Criminal Caper", which presents a developer and City Council turned deadly, will begin at 7:00 pm.
Included in the cast are Dave Flory, Martie Dote, Edna Bohon, Carla Bohon, Angel Barajas and Elena Rodriguez.
Woodland City officials have a problem…they are implicated in a murder. All were involved in a high stakes poker game at Cache Creek Casino with the local developer, and things go from bad to worse when the developer turns up dead! Everyone involved in the poker game is a murder suspect.
Fortunately (or maybe not), the dealer is an undercover Woodland Police officer, and so has a first-hand account of what happened during the poker game. As the investigation wears on, things are definitely in a downward spiral for the City's elected officials as each of them has motive and opportunity to want the developer dead!
Come and participate in an evening of mystery, misunderstandings, mayhem and great fun! We will be pouring wines from Bogle Winery and Capay Valley Vineyards. Also included in the ticket price are delicious homemade appetizers, dessert and coffee. Additionally, the Friends will host a fabulous silent auction which includes items donated by Disneyland, Woodland Opera House, Cache Creek Casino Resort, San Francisco 49er's, Sylvina's Basket and numerous other local restaurants and businesses.
This event is being underwritten through a generous grant from the Bank of the West.
