Sec. 21-9-3. Size and materials.

(a) Final maps and parcel maps shall be clearly and legibly drawn, printed or reproduced by a process ensuring a permanent record in black on tracing cloth or polyester base film, except that all signatures shall be made in waterproof opaque ink. If ink is used on polyester base film, the ink surface shall be coated with a suitable substance to ensure permanent legibility.
(b) The size of each sheet shall be eighteen inches by twenty-six inches. No map lettering shall be smaller than No. 80 CL Leroy or .08 of an inch in height. A marginal line shall be drawn completely around each sheet leaving an entirely blank margin of one inch. The scale of the map shall be one inch equals fifty feet or one hundred feet and enough sheets shall be used to accomplish this end. With approval of the city engineer, the scale used may be modified. A graphical scale not less than three inches in length shall be shown in addition to numerical scale. Each sheet of the final map or parcel map and lettering thereon shall be so oriented that the north point shall be directed toward the top at the sheet or toward the left of the sheet.
