Article 4. Filing of Tentative Map.
Sec. 21-4-1. Submission of tentative maps.
Unless otherwise provided in this chapter, each proposed subdivision shall
first be submitted to the planning commission in the form of a tentative map.
Tentative maps shall be prepared by a registered civil engineer or licensed land
surveyor and submitted in compliance with all applicable state laws and city
ordinances. Tentative maps, along with the application, checklist, fees and
required documents shall be filed in the office of the community development
department. One reproducible copy shall also be submitted with the tentative map
application. Each tentative map submitted to the community development
department shall consist of one or more sheets of equal size. The scale of the
map shall be one inch equals one hundred feet. The community development
director shall approve the use of any scale not specified herein. The sheets of
the map shall not exceed twenty-four inches by thirty-six inches in size, unless
previously approved by the community development director. The number of copies
of tentative maps to be submitted shall be as specified by the community
development department. All maps shall be folded to facilitate distribution
through the mail in a ten inches by thirteen inches manila envelope. (Ord. No.
