Sec. 20-11-16. Unlawful to sponsor, authorize or participate in an event without a permit or notice.

It is unlawful for any person to sponsor or conduct a special event requiring a permit under Section 20-11-3 of this article, unless a permit has been issued for the event. It is unlawful for any person to sponsor, authorize or conduct a special event requiring a category one notice unless such notice is timely provided to the parks, recreation and community services director. It is unlawful for any person to participate in a special event with the knowledge that the sponsor of the event has not been issued the required permit. It is unlawful for any owner or occupant of a facility to make such facility available to a special event without providing category one notice, if applicable, or requiring the organizers to obtain a permit.
