Sec. 17A-1-3. Redemption of property.
The true owner of lost property may claim the property at any time during
the three-month period by providing proof of ownership satisfactory to the

owner, the police department may charge the owner for the care of the property

satisfactory proof of ownership, the police department may refuse to deliver the
property until ordered to do so by a court of competent jurisdiction. (Ord. No.
