Any person injuring, teasing, striking or otherwise interfering with a police dog under the custody of, or being used by, a law enforcement officer in performance of his official duties shall be punishable for an infraction as then defined by the law of the state. “Police dog” means any dog trained for assistance to law enforcement officers.
