Article III. Grading Regulations and Permitting Procedures.
Sec. 6-3-3. General provisions.
Sec. 6-3-3-1 Severability. If any provision of this article or the
application thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the article
which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end, the provisions of this article are severable. The city council hereby
declares that it would have adopted this article irrespective of the invalidity
of any particular portion thereof.
Sec. 6-3-3-2 Adoption of California
Building Code Appendix Chapter 33; Continuity of Regulations. Appendix Chapter
33 entitled “Excavation and Grading” of the California Building Code
(“California Building Code”) is hereby adopted by reference. All
grading shall be performed in conformance with the California Building Code
Appendix Chapter 33 and the city of Woodland standard improvement specifications
and details. If there is a conflict between requirements of this article and the
standard improvements specifications and details, the more restrictive
requirements shall prevail.
Nothing in this article is intended to repeal or
replace requirements of the California Building Code as adopted by the city of
Woodland. In the case of conflict between this article and the California
Building Code, the more restrictive requirements shall prevail. (Ord. No. 1353,
