Sec. 2-1-7. Order of business.

(a) The business of the council, including the following items, as applicable, shall be taken up for consideration and disposition in the order as jointly determined by the mayor, city manager and city clerk for each meeting agenda.
(1) Pledge of allegiance;
(2) Roll call;
(3) Approval of the minutes;
(4) Communications;
(A) Written communications,
(B) Committee reports,
(C) Public comment,
(D) Council staff statements and requests;
(5) Presentations;
(6) Consent calendar;
(7) Public hearings;
(8) Redevelopment agency board meeting (when required);
(9) Reports of the city manager; and
(10) Adjournment.
(b) The order of business, as determined pursuant to subsection (a), shall not be changed except by affirmative vote of a majority of council members present at the meeting, with the exception that items may be removed from the consent calendar for separate consideration upon request of a council member.
