The director of public works may, as an alternative to the posting of a notice of violations as set forth in Section 20-6-3, correct violations of this article. The violations that may be so corrected are limited to: (1) the attachment of advertising signs/displays, newsracks, modular newsracks, chairs and/or tables to property other than that owned by the permittee or without the permission or the owner of such property; (2) the attachment of advertising signs/displays, newsracks, modular newsracks, chairs and/or tables to fixed objects or to each other; and (3) the location of advertising signs/displays, newsracks, modular newsracks, chairs and/or tables.
