The city manager, subject to veto of a particular designation by majority vote of the council, shall designate one of the other officers of the city to serve as city manager pro tempore during his absence or disability. During the absence or disability of the city manager, the city manager pro tempore shall have the same powers and duties as the city manager. (Ord. No. 935, § 2 (part); Ord. No. 1317, § 2 (part).)
