2004 Officer of the Year - Robert Strange
Officer Robert Strange has been selected the Woodland Police Department's Officer of the Year for 2004. Officer Strange has been with the Department since 1998.
Officer Strange joined the Department as a Police Officer with the Patrol Division. In 2001, he was assigned to the Gang Violence Suppression Unit, where he serves as the Department's Gang Officer.
Officer Strange was honored at the Department's annual awards ceremony at the Woodland Opera House in February 2005.
2004 Employee of the Year - Shesh Ananthula
Systems Support Technician Shesh Ananthula first joined the City of Woodland as a part-time employee in 2001. In 2002 he was hired as a full-time technician in the Police Department.
Shesh enjoys training police officers and other staff in the department's various computer applications, and is very customer service oriented. In addition to providing routine computer support, his job requires him to work on a variety of special projects, including the department's mobile data system (computers in the patrol cars), records management database, and digital booking photo system.
Mr. Ananthula was honored at the Department's annual awards ceremony at the Woodland Opera House in February 2005.
