The Special Event Committee is the approving body for all special events within the City of Woodland that include the assembly of 50 people or more; or an event that obstructs the normal flow of pedestrian or vehicular traffic; or is a hazard to the public, peace, health, safety, or general welfare of the community.

The Special Events Committee meets the first Tuesday of each month. All Special Events need to meet with the Special Events Committee for approval. Special Event Applications are to be turned into the Community Services Department (2001 East Street) or faxed to (530) 666-7257 before an appointment with the Committee can be scheduled.

Requests for a special event needs to be turned into the Department at least 45 days before the requested event date. For additional information on the Special Events Committee and to schedule an appointment contact Community Services at (530) 661-2000.
