Community Services Department

The Community Services Department (formerly the Parks & Recreation Department) provides the community with a variety of life-enriching programs; events; grant opportunities; non-profit and community partner collaboration; and affordable housing needs.  The Community Services Department is responsible for senior services; park facility reservations; sports complex reservations, including tournaments; recreation programming; and aquatics programming; the implementation of the Community Development Block Grant Entitlement Program; and affordable housing programs.

The City is endowed with a wealth of more than 160 acres of recreational parks, athletic fields, and open spaces, which are used by over 45,000 users each year! We also operate a 22-acre full-service historical cemetery and olympic-sized swimming pool. All park restrooms are open daily 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Thanks to the services provided by the Community Services Department, the City of Woodland provides recreation and leisure activities at a total of 18 parks, a Sports Park, Community & Senior Center, the Woodland Boxing Club, and a 50-meter swimming pool.
