Seahorse - Level 2 - Fundamental Aquatic Skills



Seahorse builds upon the foundation set in Goldfish and introduces front and back glides and a combined swimming action with arms and legs.  Swimmers must demonstrate the ability to glide and move unassisted through the water to move to Swordfish.

Prerequisite skills to enter SEAHORSE
Enter water unassisted
Move 5 yards in water    
Bob 5 times to chin-deep water
Front float & back floats with support for 3 seconds

Goals and skills for SEAHORSE
Front and back glides
Direction changes while on front and back
Combined action of arms and legs while on front and back
Introduction to swimming on side of the body
