Volunteers

As many as one in five Woodland adults have trouble reading and writing.  California-born citizens and recent immigrants of all ages need basic literacy skills to become self-sufficient, productive workers, family members, and community citizens.

You can support improved literacy in Woodland in many ways. You can volunteer your time, talent, or resources. You can make a financial contribution that will help us provide literacy services to adults and children in Woodland.

Or you can make a referral. Do you know an adult who needs help with reading and writing? An immigrant who wants to study English or earn U.S. citizenship? Call 530.661.5986 to refer a potential student to our local literacy program.
